Kaylee was walking around Kansas City, not really knowing what to do, figuring she'd just end up going around in circles for a little while before going back to the Academy, and at this rate it was actually rather likely to happen. It was a Saturday afternoon and she didn't have anything to do. She would have hung out with some of her friends, but she knew that most of them were neck deep into school work already, and so was she for that matter, but she usually set goals to reach every day as to what she should do and whenever she reached it, she was free to go out and do whatever she wanted. However, most of her friends didn't work that way and always ended up procrastinating until they had to spend their weekends inside doing school work, so she often found herself alone. She didn't overly mind, she usually took it as an occasion to actually meet some new people and make new friends, which was something she actually loved. Right now however, the street of the city didn't seem to be crawling with people she could get acquainted with, so it was just her walking around the place by herself.
After a few minutes of walking, she was ready to go back to the school and do some more work, figuring she had nothing better to do anyway, when she noticed Aggieal's Attic. She'd bought most of what was needed for her dorm room's decoration already, and it would surely be unreasonable to go in there and get any more stuff. However, Kaylee was practically a shopping addict, and she simply adored that place. She couldn't figure why she hadn't even been there already this year to get some stuff for her room, and now seemed like the perfect time to solve that problem. Biting her bottom lip lightly, she took her wallet out of her purse and checked how much money she had in there, smiling happily when she realized she would be able to buy some stuff if she found anything she liked. Without an hesitation, she made her way to the door and entered the small vintage shop, grinning at the mere sight of the place. It was no ordinary place and just that fact made her love it. It was cluttered and almost messy, you could practically get lost in that place, but the things you could find made it worth it.
She hadn't even been inside for ten minutes when her eyes felt on some squealing worthy cushions that matched the bed spread she'd gotten for her bed perfectly. It was gorgeous too, the details simply amazing and the pattern just... perfect. She made her way to them almost giddily, glancing at the price tag which only made her grin widen. On sale. It was most definitely her lucky day. Grabbing a few of them in different shapes, she put them down in the small basket she'd grabbed at the entrance, which she also planned on buying. What for, she had no idea yet, but it was obvious that it was at least practical for one thing or another. She kept looking around for a little while longer, figuring she could possibly find something else that would be just as great as what she'd gotten already, though she really would have to control herself and see things in a practical way, otherwise she would end up buying too much stuff she'd have no use for. After a little while of finding nothing, she figured it was just as well that she didn't buy anymore stuff and looked around, trying to find the best and quickest way to the registers, but as she did, her eyes fell on a tall book shelf on which several items were placed. On the top shelf there were some antique looking picture frames, silver with roses patterns engraved in them. She knew her mother had been looking for some pretty frames to put in her office at work, and she thought they could make a good Christmas present. Walking up to it, she glanced up with a light frown. Reaching them might actually be a problem.
