Kaylee was humming absent mindedly as she made her way through the few bookshelves of the library, glancing down at the small piece of paper clenched between her fingers. It was a Saturday morning, and so the place was literally empty - which was a good thing, because she hadn't taken much care in getting dressed, simply putting a pair of jeans on and then throwing a sweatshirt over the tank top she wore to bed. Then, she'd just pulled her hair up in a quite messy ponytail and clipped it so that it didn't look too bad - after all, even though she knew there wouldn't be many people around, it didn't mean she wouldn't walk past anybody at all. After all, there were probably a few students eating breakfast in the cafeteria, and she didn't want to look completely horrible in front of her schoolmates either. Actually, when she'd planned out her weekend, she hadn't even intended to leave her room at all today. She'd gotten a few things to eat for all three meals, along with a few choices of snacks for the evening, and she'd planned herself a real cramming and working session. She wanted to get every single homework out of the way so that tomorrow she would be free to practice her singing to its fullest.
However, merely halfway into her History essay, she'd realized she didn't have the proper material to take care of it, and she needed some books. Re-reading her list of school work, she'd found that it would probably be the same for Language, seeing as they were talking about the culture of the country where the language they were learning came from, and that was what she had to comment. In the end, there were about four books that she'd need to look up at the library, so she'd decided to go and get them while she still felt like it, but she'd been too lazy to put much time in her appearance. It wasn't as though anybody would be watching anyway. After she got the three first books on her list, she continued her hunting of the last, stopping in her tracks when she got to the numbers around which it would be, but as she looked around and didn't spot it, she realized what that must mean and looked up with a sigh, narrowing her eyes a bit to try and read the codes and finding that the book she needed was, obviously, on the top shelf. It wasn't rare that objects would be out of her reach - just remember the little adventure at Aggieal's Attic a few days ago, it just happened weekly - but most of the time she was lucky enough to find someone around who'd helped her. Right now, the library just looked empty. Frowning lightly, she tried to debate what to do in order to get the book - she did need it, but she didn't feel like going to get a chair and try to climb on it to access the book.
