Josh sighed lightly as he made his way inside the Hurricane after waiting for a little bit in line, though the wait was never really all that long for him - and sometimes he could just go in as he got there, which was pretty cool too. Well, it was still pretty rare though that he even came here anymore, though it'd been an habit of his as a student, both in high school and college, but as a professor he just didn't have as much time for these kind of things as he'd used to. Tonight though, he just needed to have something to do, he didn't want to get lost in his thoughts because they weren't really happy lately. He didn't really enjoy teaching as much as he used to, mostly because he just had troubles looking at one person in particular in his Senior classroom, and that very person sat practically right in front of him and so it was pretty hard not to notice her. He hated looking in her eyes now, though they'd been the part of her - well, one of the parts - he'd loved most before, because whenever his eyes met hers, he felt as though he'd commited a murder of some sort. He felt like the bad guy, the bastard, but he was in just as much pain as he could see in her eyes, and it hurt to see the feeling mirrored in those eyes he liked so much, knowing he'd caused it. It made it worse, because it wasn't just his own pain he was feeling, it was hers too.
He sighed and pushed the thought away as he ordered a beer at the bar and went to sit on one of the leather couches in a quieter corner of the room, watching the people that danced and grinded against one another on the dance floor. Maybe if he got with another girl or something, they'd just both get over it. But it didn't really seem like an appealing option to him. He didn't want to be with any other girl, he wanted to be with that one, no matter how wrong it would be, how dangerous even. He'd be putting his entire life on the line, and he just wasn't sure yet that he was that willing for that, though maybe at some point it'd happen. He was still on the reflecting part of it though, and maybe she'd actually get over him before he did make his decision as to what he was or was not ready for, but it didn't really matter at this point. It'd happen if it did, and if it didn't, then it wasn't meant to be he supposed, but he did want it. He just was a bit too chicken to admit it at this point. He groaned lightly as he realized he was still thinking of it when he was supposed to try and change his train of thoughts, shaking his head a bit and talking a gulp of his beer, his eyes scanning the room. Man he was in for a boring evening. Maybe it'd been a bad idea to come after all.
