Kristina did not want to get out of bed. She didn't want to go to class and she didn't want to shower. Although she did all those things she felt horrible while doing them. She knew she had to go to class, but that didn't stop her from wanting to crawl back into bed. She knew she was depressed, but she had to go to class. That was what she had done. In her sweats of course. She hadn't even felt like getting up, let alone dressing nicely. People knew why she was that way, but not one person said a word to her. She was happy when she was dancing, but even that had a dark shadow. She wished that she could just be happy. She knew that it wasn't going to last and yet she was devastated that it was over. She missed having a girlfriend. She missed being able to say that she was with Holly. She didn't want to do anything until she was happy again. The bad thing was that she didn't know how long it would be until that happened. She couldn't not go to school. She had to keep her grades up if she wanted to keep dancing. That was the only she wanted to do.
Kristina forced herself out of bed. She knew what she had to do. She didn't want to do it, but she wanted to get back to normal as soon as possible. She had to go see the one person she had been avoiding all year. Her mom wouldn't be happy that she would rather go to the school counselor then to her, but it was life. Besides she doubted that her mom wanted to her about her lesbian problems. Now if it had been a guy dumping her she would have gone to her mom, but since it's not, she had no other choice. She put on a coat and walked out of her room. She was aware of the fact that she was watching her feet, but she couldn't lift her head up. She was that down in the dumps. It made her sad to know that other people could tell that she was sad. She had wanted to be brave through the whole thing, but she failed. That was something she was good at. She sighed as she reached the outside of Mr. Matthews' door. It was silent in there. She could see that he was there, but he was alone. She took a big breath and walked into the office. "I need to talk." She said in a rush.
