۞ ۞ ۞ Even though it was too late to change her mind, Kristen couldn’t help but feel a bit nervous about the idea that she was moving into Josh’s apartment today. They’d been dating for a little over eight months; it was basically safe to say that they could move in together without there being any problems. But she couldn’t help but feel a bit worried about what might happen after she was all moved in. And her worries were plain obvious. After all, they’d been together without technically living together for eight months, what if things went downward after she did actually start living there for…well who knew how long she’d live there for? That was also something that worried her and made her anxious. She was scared of what constantly being around each other might do to her and Josh. What if it didn’t work out and they ended up breaking up because of it? That couldn’t happen; it might tear her apart if their relationship ended even though she could have roomed with one of her friends in a small apartment. And she fretted the entire drive from Virginia to Kansas City. Weighing the pros and cons. Some of the pros being that she’d wake up beside him every morning and fall asleep in his arms every night as opposed to certain carefully picked nights. And the fact that she’d be able to cook him dinner and wait for him when he got home from work whenever she could. By the end of her roadtrip she’d tried drowning out cons with loud, earsplitting music – not her taste at all – but both the pros and the cons came out pretty even. It troubled her, and she was still vexed when she pulled up in front of his apartment building, her hand clenching the wheel as she turned off the ignition and merely stared up at the place. It took her a few seconds to pull out her cell and press Josh’s speeddial number before getting out of her car and leaning against it. “Hey, I’m outside.” She spoke, trying to hide the worry in her voice. Though one thing was for sure, she was certainly glad that she’d get to see him in a few seconds. |
