So it definitely was unlike Jillian to plan ahead for anything, even apology. But here she was, standing in her mirror, creating a script so that she could go talk to Marchel. “Well you deserved it, you can’t just kiss a taken girl.” She spoke aloud, shaking her head and running a hand through her hair. “I needed to clear my head…it’s not everyday your best friend lays one on you without any prior notice.” She spoke again, groaning and rolling her eyes and giving up on the mirror as she slowly dressed in order to take her time getting to Marchel’s dorm. It wasn’t like her to apologize for much, so apologies weren’t her forte in the least bit. Looked like she was just going to wing it; whatever it took so that she could at least be talking to him again. She wouldn’t blame him if he never wanted to speak to her again, but she at least had to try. But, this was too much, she wasn’t sure of herself and that was scary in itself. And even worse she wasn’t sure as to Marchel’s reaction, when usually she just knew what it would be. She pulled her hair back into a ponytail, put on her glasses and pulled on her beanie before pulling her key necklace around her neck and running out the door.
Her destination was, of course, Marchel’s dorm. She pulled her gloves onto her hands as soon as she hit the cold air, breathing it in and coughing as it hurt her throat. She ran over her lines in her head as she walked, pulling her jacket closed as the cool winter air hit her face and stung her cheeks. She tried hard to avoid any ice as she made her way along the path, her mind racing with thoughts. This wasn’t normally something she did, for one she’d just started gaining interest in guys – well Andrew had been her first boyfriend – so she’d never had to get a guy, they were always coming after her. Though, Marchel had already done that once, and she’d denied him and probably hurt his feelings at the same time. Which of course made her feel even more horrible than she did. Her stomach churned as she pulled open the door of the boy dormitory, a feeling of nervousness passing through her as she made her way to Marchel’s dorm room, stopping in front of the door and sighing as she convinced herself to go through with it. “Come on Jilly, you can do this.” She whispered as her fist rapped at his door, biting her lip.
