Vince wasn't too sure what to expect as he made his way off the plane that had just landed in Nova Scotia. Originally, he'd been supposed to go there with Val, but it'd turned out that, by the time Brooke had asked her parents if her friends could come over and settled on a certain week, it turned out to be the very week she'd planned on going to visit Felicia, and so she'd gone to see Brooke the week before he was getting here. She was actually probably on a plane to Chicago right now, but at least that meant Brooke would already be at the airport since she would have dropped Val off not too long ago. And if he were completely honest, he actually did prefer it that way. While he was glad that his sister and girlfriend were best friends, he'd still much rather have her to himself for the time he'd be spending at her house. Well, he wouldn't really have her all to himself - her parents would be there, and her sister, but the main point was that he wouldn't have to share her with his sister, and it so happened that at this point, he did feel like being selfish with his girlfriend's attention.
Of course, it wasn't that long since he'd seen her - barely three weeks. But that had been enough for him to miss her as if it had been years since he'd last been able to spend time with her, and he yearned to be able to hold her in his arms and see her, talk to her, kiss her again. He wanted to be able to spend time with her as much as he wanted to, not only because she was his girlfriend but also because she was one of his best friends too. Still, he was rather anxious at the thought of meeting her dad - from what he'd gathered, the man seemed to have similar thoughts as to his daughter dating as his own father did about Val's having a boyfriend. That didn't exactly mean anything good for him, but really, as long as he got to be with Brooke he didn't mind if her dad hated him just because he was dating his daughter and tried to scare him away. He hadn't waited for her that long to be made to scatter off at the first person who tried to intimidate him out of her life. It didn't take him long to make his way to baggage claim, grabbing his bag and heading to the gate where people were waiting to greet loved ones, trying to spot his girlfriend among the lot of them, though it would probably help that there weren't that many of them.
