Stephanie hummed lightly to herself as she walked across the school grounds, looking up at the bright blue sky with a small smile, squinting slightly and putting her hand above her eyes to shadow them slightly from the shining sun as she gave a small, happy sigh. This school... well, it was everything she'd ever dreamed of it seemed. She hadn't really ever had many dreams, or more like she hadn't allowed herself to dream much, not that she'd missed it, she'd always been happy with her life, but still, this was simply incredible, every single aspect of being here, except for how badly she missed her father and wished she could share all of this with him. She knew he would love this city, she was sure of it. They were both in need of a fresh new start, and she was getting that, but her dad deserved it too, ought to be getting it. A new home, a new city, maybe, who knew, a new job... that would be beneficial for him, for his health. But trying to get her dad to do something he obstinately didn't want to do was like trying to move a mountain, it just didn't work out so well.
She pushed that thought out of her mind for the time being, resuming on the way to the library where she'd planned to meet up with Cheyenne to study for some of their classes. Stephanie had always been quick to make friends, but she'd never really made friends that were... well, very close. She didn't know if she'd get that here, but she'd met a lot of nice people so far, and Cheyenne was one of them. They'd arranged to meet up for studying today because they both had their little troubles in a respective subject - her own being math, she could not for her life of her figure it out, but it so happened to be one of Cheyenne's strenght, and then she was pretty skilled when it came to history, which Cheyenne was having a bit of trouble with. Of course, it was early still to say whether they were really good or bad at anything, they'd only had two weeks of classes so far, but Steph could easily say she'd end up needing help sooner or later. She glanced around once she entered the library, not spotting the other girl just yet but figuring she'd get here at some point or another, heading over to an empty table and taking a seat as she pulled books, notebooks and pens out of her school bag.
