Lately, Fred had mostly been focusing his energy on school work. Not that he ever really did much else, but for some reason, he wasn't finding the need to go out for a drink and a one night stand. Instead, he took care of getting his homework done and then checking it a couple more times to make sure he did everything he could correctly, and though he'd never been the kind to not apply himself to school work, it still showed pretty well on his grades, and he couldn't deny the fact that he was pretty satisfied with himself with the knowledge that he only had As in every single subject. Today though, even though he had an English Literature to write about To Kill A Mockingbird, and a research to do for his History project about World War II, he wasn't in the mood for any of it. Neither of those were due for another week or so anyway, and so waiting a little before getting them done wouldn't kill him, would it? And then, there was another project he wanted to work on anyway - one that was a lot more interesting, in his opinion, if not quite as productive.
So, maybe he was having a bit too much fun with riling up that Tiffany girl, but he honestly just got such a big kick out of it, and it was rare that he was entertained by other people. And so when, by sheer luck, he'd overheard her tell her obnoxious friend that she'd be working on some fashion design project the next afternoon, he'd just known he'd have to jump on the occasion. After all, he was a fashion designer too, and right now their assignment was a particularly complex one that he was having to spend a lot of time re-thinking and working on, because he didn't want anything that he made to be less than perfection. Still, prom dresses weren't exactly his piece of cake - first and foremost because he didn't wear them, and secondly, because he actually wanted to make something that was original without being over the top. He didn't want to go for the cliche poofy, and he didn't want it to be plain. It was the big project of the year though, and so not due until March or April, but considering the fact that he'd already scrapped one of the ideas he'd worked on for a couple of weeks, it wouldn't be too much time to get it done. And so, after taking a quick shower and eating breakfast, he'd hurried over to the fashion rooms, wanting to make sure he'd get there first, glad to see he had as he pulled out his sketching pad and an album that contained little squares of different types of fabrics.
