Beatrice couldn't help but feel a bit anxious as she sat on a bench outside the movie theater. She and Shane had agreed to meeting up here directly about half an hour before the movie was set to start, and she'd actually made it fifteen minutes early because she was a dork like that. Of course, she hadn't thought she would make it here that fast - she'd just walked faster than she'd anticipated she would, which could possibly have something to do with the fact that she was pretty excited for the whole evening to unfold. She'd never been on a real date with a guy before, and though she'd only talked to Shane a couple of times since meeting him, he really did seem like a cool guy, and there was no doubt in regards to his level of attractiveness. As it was, they'd ended up chatting for close to an hour the other day when she'd just gone to pick up her phone from him, and she'd had to force herself to leave because she knew she had plenty of homework to do still, and she'd spent enough time putting it off as it was. Still, she was very much looking forward to tonight.
The main of her day had been taken up by hesitations about what she should wear, and even now that she was sitting out here she wasn't entirely sure of her selection. She hadn't wanted to overdress for a first date to the movies, so she'd gone with a nice shirt she loved and that fit her well, and a pair of tight fit dark jeans. She'd tried to accessorize a little, but she'd completely left off makeup because she just didn't like the feel of it and hardly owned any in the first place. Besides, if he'd thought her good looking before, it would have been without makeup on, so why bother with unnecessary embellishment? Then again, she had spent almost half an hour straightening her hair, which was straight in the first place, to make sure it looked smooth and nice and glossy, so maybe she shouldn't really talk about unnecessary embellishments. And then, after aimlessly texting a few of her friends and checking her Facebook three times in ten minutes, she'd decided it was time to go. She'd grabbed her leather jacket and her favorite scarf before pulling on her boots, tucking her pants leg inside them and giving herself a last look in the mirror before heading on her way. She'd tried to walk slow, but clearly that hadn't worked, and so she tried to keep herself busy by texting Izzy and Zoey while waiting for Shane to show up.
