Worst Punishment Ever ((Fred))

Tiffany was busy showering, thinking about how completely bummed that she had to go home for Thanksgiving, it was the biggest let down ever. She'd much rather just stay at the Academy and be with Fred - who was not going home for the holiday - but no, she was being punished by having to return home. That's right, going home was now a form of punishment that her parents actively pursued. All because she went to France over the summer and Ginny didn't. Like her grandparents would have wanted Ginny there in the first place and Cassidy sure wouldn't have wanted her there either. So, she didn't see why her parents felt the need to actively pursue punishment for the fact that she was actually wanted somewhere. Maybe, if they weren't too busy having favorites all the time, this wouldn't happen. Regardless, she was putting off packing until tomorrow before she left and hoped with all her might that some freak accident might occur where she had to miss her flight and would have to stay in Kansas City over the holiday instead. It wasn't like Thanksgiving was that big of a deal anyway.
It wasn't like when they ditched her for the holidays last year. Whatever. Right now she tried to push all of her hateful thoughts toward her family out of her mind as she stepped out of the shower, knowing that Fred would be over soon and he'd already heard her rant about going home, in fact, he'd heard shortened versions of it as well. She might as well cut the guy some slack and not mention it again. It wasn't like he was thrilled about the development either. It would have been nice to just have space to themselves to do whatever they wanted and not have to worry about classes or anything like that, but clearly that wasn't the way that life worked. Drying off with the towel, she got redressed and used the hair dryer to get at least some of her hair dry before running a brush through her long, orange hair in an attempt to try and put some order to it. And though she was trying not to think about it, the hostility toward her parents was definitely still present in the back of her mind. Stupid parents and their stupid punishments. Oh, who was she kidding? There was no way her annoyance about this was going to be easily pushed aside.
