PERSONALITY
Meet Mr. Owen Graham, well know for being well know. Extremely outgoing and friendly, Owen knows who everyone is and makes sure to make a lasting impression the first time that they meet. He isn't really an attention hog, but he does enjoy his fair share of time in the spotlight when he is able to get it - what actor doesn't? - he's never one to purposely take attention away from someone else, he may do it by accident or subconciously, but he never makes a move just to be noticed by everyone else. Hanging with the crowd of people that he does, he often lands himself into a bunch of drama which would be expected, what is not expected by most people though, is the fact that he doesn't enjoy the drama in the slighest. Which is why he does his best to try and not create any of it. He believes that drama should be limited to the stage and not controlling his personal life and tries to let everyone know that upfront, not that anyone ever pays attention when he brings that up. After all, when you are involved
Owen is a very competative person and when someone gives him a challenge he just can't back down from it. When he looses a challenge he is always sure to try again and just keep trying until he gets things right so that way he can at least be able to say that he was able to do it, something that comes with the amount of pride that he carries around. He isn't overly proud of himself, but he does have a bit of an ego which can sometimes get him into a little bit of trouble, also he is a little bit stubborn about being being right. With his need to have his opinion heard he often likes to have the role of leader in a group project that way he knows that it's gauranteed that some of his ideas with at least be heard. He is a take charge person when no one else wants to step up to the plate, if someone else does want a leadership role then he will gladly settle for having an equal part of the leadership, just as long as he has at least a little bit of power with him.
Making enemies isn't something that Owen does lightly so if he dislikes someone there has got to be a serious reason for it, as he tries to live by the innocent until proven guilty way of looking at things. If someone crosses a line far enough for him to actually consider them an enemy then they had to have done something that was huge. Because it is not uncommon for him to forgive his friends quite easily if they at least act like they are sorry. It doesn't mean that he let's them off the hook completely or anything, it just means that he isn't going to hold a grudge over people for a long time. At the most he'll stay mad for a week at a time before he lets it slide.
APPEARANCE
Owen is very comfortable with his appearance, he doesn't think that he's the best looking guy around but he knows that he isn't ugly or anything along those lines either. He stands at approximately 5'9" and is happy with his height, considering that his father is only around 5'10" as well. People often mention to him that he's a bit pale, but he can't stand the idea of tanning so he just allows himself to be pale and works to turn his complexion to his advantage. It actually works quite nicely with his light blue eyes and brown hair. If you catch him with his friends his face is usually lit up from being with them and a straight, white, smile is often displayed as well.
Like most guys, Owen doesn't really care that much about what he's wearing as long as it's clothing. He does prefer casual clothes, jeans and a t-shirt are just fine with him. He enjoys being comfortable with what he's wearing, he won't even own a piece of clothing if he doesn't feel good in it. And it has happened before that he'd get an article of clothing and end up getting rid of it because it didn't fit right or something along those lines. He figures that if he doesn't like it he doesn't have to wear it, after all he has enough money to be able to do those sorts of things. He doesn't believe in using things such as scarves and jackets as accessories, actually it's a rarity that he wears them at all, unless he absolutely has to.
HISTORY
On April 7th, 1992 Owen Daniel Graham was born to parents Christopher and Rachel Graham in Newport, Vermont. The couple had only gotten married because of the fact that Rachel had fallen pregnant and it was what was considered proper procedure for such events. It was an awkward marriage at first but, the two of them managed to come to an understanding. Basically, each of them ignored each other as often as possible and it just made things easier. Needless to say, that home life wasn't exactly the best environment to spend his first five years of life, though he never knew that there was apparently something wrong with the way that his parents acted around one another. Though his memory doesn't exactly serve that well about how his parents were with one another because when he was five his mother and father got a divorce. Miraculously - or maybe not so much when you look at the fact that Christopher was working and Rachel wasn't - Owen ended up going with his father, and for a while they stayed in Newport. He saw both of his parents a lot even though his dad was supposed to have full custody of him.
Owen has always been acting since a young age. He always loved to play different characters and try to portray them accurately. It was his favorite thing to do as a child and he often would act out the things that his father would read to him. As he was in school he signed up for every play that he was able to. He loved being on stage and often out staged some of the older students with both try outs and actually in the play, even if his character wasn't the biggest one in the production. His father noticed his passion for acting and signed him up for some classes, at first Owen wasn't even sure that he wanted to be in the classes, but after a few lessons he soon realized that he loved learning more and improving his acting as much as he could. He grew close to all the other people in his class and considered them to be his best friends, he constantly thanked his father for signing him up.
Just last year, Christopher got a job transfer that led him to Ocean City, Maryland. At first Owen was pretty upset with his father, due to the fact that it meant that he wouldn't be able to continue taking his acting classes which he'd grown to love. Even though his father pointed out the fact that he could always take new classes in Maryland, Owen didn't quite believe him. Plus, he wasn't happy with the fact that he wouldn't be able to see his mom as often. She was every bit a part of his life as his father, now he'd be limited to only seeing her during breaks and during the summer. Even then, he still doesn't like the fact that he feels as if he has to choose who he wants to spend time with and who he doesn't, not that his parents have ever done or said anything to make him feel that way, but it was just part of the consequences.
Owen's dad had always been quite the ladies man, and has had several serious engagements, however none of them have really worked out. Owen has always been okay with this fact, and has always tried to treat each family as though they could actually stick around. Around spring last year though, he began another serious relationship has with Martha Baker, who is a divorcee herself. Owen liked Martha pretty much immedately and found her very friendly. The two of them have gotten along pretty well over the summer and he met her son a couple of times when they were both around the house, as Christopher had taken a residence within her house.
Actually, it was thanks to Martha that Owen is even attending Gordon Parks', she suggested to his father that perhaps if Owen started going to Gordon Parks' this year (she told him about the theater program there) he'd be able to get to know her son a bit better. As neither he or his apparent future step-brother don't know each other too well - actually Owen still doesn't know his last name yet. Owen had no problems with the suggestion, because he really wanted to go to Gordon Parks' after he heard about what a great school it was and how amazing their talent programs were. However, he is a bit worried about how Connor might react to seeing him there as Martha had informed him before he left for the school year that she hadn't actually gotten around to telling him about it. He had a feeling that the year older guy doesn't like him too much, but he was still very excited to see what the Academy would hold for him.
