Eliana had just finished unpacking in her new dorm room when she decided she didn't feel like staying inside all day and had gone for a walk, somehow ending up at Macken Park after a few minutes of walking. It might not really be a coincidence, because she simply adored this park and usually came here when she was headed somewhere, so her subconscious was surely used to leading her here by now. Smiling lightly as she looked around, she sighed and hoped her roommate wouldn't be upset to walk in an empty room and wouldn't find her rude for leaving the place. She really couldn't wait to meet the girl, she'd heard of her here and there, but she'd never really met her, and she loved meeting new people. But she supposed that, seeing as they'd be spending the entire year together, she could push back the moment of the meeting by just a little bit. She'd missed this place a lot and she was definitely overjoyed to be back, though she always missed her sister terribly whenever she left home. She was getting better at it now though, after four years.
Glancing around the park, she noticed the playground not far from where she was standing a smiled a little, walking up to it slowly. There weren't any kids around, seeing as it was about dinner time, but Eli had eaten on the way to the Academy so she wasn't hungry right now, and besides she always carried some granola bars with her in her bag, so if she got hungry she'd at least have a little snack to make her last until she got to eat anything more consistent. She usually kept a small fridge in her dorm room when it didn't bother her roommate, so that she could keep some vegetables, fruits and salads dressing fresh in case she didn't want to eat whatever vegetarian meal they offered at the school cafeteria and she didn't want to go out for lunch or dinner. Anyway, fresh vegetables could be rather hard to find in certain restaurants, and that gave her even less options to eat out, so it was really easier to keep some food in her room.
As she got to the playground, she looked around and went to the swing set, sitting down on one of them and gripping the chains tightly, not moving just yet as she kept her feet on the ground, leaning back with a small smile and looking at the sky. As childish as it might be to some people, she adored swing sets and loved playing on one whenever she was in a playground. Or at least, whenever the people she was with wanted to come along with her, or when she was alone. It was more often the latter, because most of her friends didn't really want to watch her swinging on a swing set, nor did they want to join her. Sometimes she went anyway, but most of the time she decided to give up on the idea for now and go with her friends. Right now, however, there was nobody around to keep her from doing what she wanted, so that was a good thing at the very least. Smiling a little as the wind started picking up a little, she gave a little push on the ground with her feet and started swinging, gripping a bit tighter to the chains as she breathed deeply, letting her eyes close, her hair blowing in the wind.
