Hangover

It was always in the morning that Addie typically regretted getting drunk. Some people were lucky enough so that the whole process would have no after effect on their body and they'd be just fine when waking up in the morning, but sadly enough, Addison was not one of those people. She usually got pretty bad hangovers, and it was worse when she actually had something to feel sorry for on top of it. Her mind was starting to work again as she slowly awoke, but she was nowhere near ready to open her eyes and face the brightness of the sun coming into the room. She didn't remember how she'd gotten back to the Academy or what exactly had happened after she'd left the Hurricane with Milo. Faint memories of cheap leather seats and cigarette smoke in a small cab were floating around her mind, but she couldn't be sure whether she'd imagined it or not. By this time, everything was possible, and everything was a dream. She couldn't draw a line in between what'd really happened and what hadn't, and she really hoped Milo would be able to clear that out when she saw him. She also idly wondered what Mandy had thought when she'd seen her roommate dead drunk on her bed after homecoming, but the throbbing in her head was too strong for her to care.
Groaning softly, she curled up in a ball and sighed as she finally opened her eyes, frowning lightly as she blinked a few times, the light increasing her headache, but her surroundings causing the reaction more than the sun. She didn't recognize that room. This wasn't her room. And it sure as Hell wasn't Mandy's bed on the other side - it wasn't done, and there were socks and other article of clothings lying around. Boy clothes. She was in a boy's dorm room. How had she gotten there? Had Milo left her somewhere or had she sneaked out after he'd left her in her room to come and find someone to sleep with? She honestly couldn't remember having sex though, so she figured it'd either not happened or the guy she'd picked in her lack of soberness was definitely not here for his talent in bed. Running her hand through her hair slightly, she sighed and placed her hand on her stomach, feeling a bit uneasy but not quite sick just yet - noticing, at the same time, that she still wore her dress. Sex was definitely not an option as to what had happened last night then.
Slowly sitting up, she blinked a few times to let her eyes adjust and whined softly as her headache intensified, swearing she'd never drink that much again and really hoping she'd keep that promise. Shivering lightly, she wrapped the blanket around her body and swung her legs over the edge of the bed, one of her feet landing in a pile of dirty clothes and the other on the floor as she tentatively stood up, her balance not entirely to its best just yet but still definitely better than last time. She took a few steps before a movement caught her attention and she looked down, noticing that someone was actually sleeping on the floor. After a few seconds, she realized it was Milo and she sighed softly, the feeling of guilt instantly sinking in. She'd been utterly stupid, gotten herself drunk over a dumb fight and had completely ruined her best friend's evening with the girl he actually liked. Silently, she moved over to where he was, getting down on her knees slowly and lying next to him on the floor, not wanting to wake him up just yet but feeling like she needed some comfort right now, as though she hadn't taken enough of his time yet. She snuggled a bit closer to him so that her head touched his shoulder without being exactly on it, closing her eyes and wishing the headache would just go away. She felt like shit.
