Detention? ((Cassandra))

Connor headed down the hallways, trying to find the room number on the slip that he'd been handed when he'd been kicked out off science class. Detention. Unbelievable. He hadn't even been aware in his three years at the school that he was able to get a detention. And yet he had, it was entirely Addie's fault as well. On top of being kicked out of class, Mr. Cooper had also given him a lunch detention. But he wouldn't have been messing around if it weren't for Addie, he tended to forget his surroundings when he was around her. Of course she'd gotten kicked out with him, but it appeared that Mr. Cooper was smarter than Mr. Oakley because he kicked them out to different places. And gave them both separate detentions. Smart of him, but really he couldn't help but wish that his teacher wouldn't have been so smart, because he had no clue what he was going to do during his lunch detention now. Actually, he had no clue what people were supposed to do in detention in general, this was the first time that he'd ever managed to get one.
The thing that probably bugged him most about this detention thing was the fact that he was just going to loose time because of something stupid. Honestly, he thought that Mr. Cooper might have overreacted a bit. Then again, he'd heard - not until after he'd gotten the detention, apparently people thought that it was meant to be reassuring or something - that you could also get detention for being late too class too many times or skipping too many times. He hadn't had rules like that since middle school, but apparently they did still apply here as well. Either way, he was surprised if that was really the case that a lot more people weren't having more detentions more often. Maybe it just depended on the teacher that was giving the detention out as well, he knew some that just wouldn't bother with it. They figured that if the student didn't come to class it was their own problem and that they weren't going to waste the extra time to come up with an extra punishment for them. He really wished that Mr. Cooper could have left it at kicking them out.
He finally found the class number that was on the piece of paper, he walked into the somewhat empty classroom and took a seat, looking up to see that Ms. Moore was sitting at the front of the class. Well that was great. He hadn't liked Ms. Moore when she was his teacher, it wasn't that she was mean or anything... she was just a boring teacher. He'd fallen asleep in her class a few times, he sighed and looked around the room. He assumed that teachers probably traded off lunches for detentions, but he also assumed that they weren't something given out to most everyone. Otherwise he would have heard more about them by now. Though he really should have known that they'd be able to get detentions, after all, they were still in high school. And all high schoolers were able to get detention. Just because it was fancy here, didn't mean that they would be exempt from all the other things that came with going to high school. However, at this point he wished that he could be. Because right now he'd be eating lunch with Addie, instead of bringing his food in here to eat while having to do whatever it was they'd have to do. Probably just sit there blankly staring ahead.
