Study Hour {Bretton}

Wednesdays tended to be Taylor's least favorite day of the week. There was the tiredness of the week that was settling in, but the end of the week was no nearer than the beginning, and it felt was though she had too much work left to do to bare. But the afternoons on Wednesdays were just the worse of all the week, because not only did she have Science, that was followed by the study hour at the library - it was bad enough that they had to spend one hour not doing much during the afternoon, but when she knew that on top of it it was the last hour of the day, it made her feel as though the time was dragging even more than usual. Of course, it didn't use to be that bad - before, she didn't really care whether she spent one hour doing nothing, seeing as there wasn't really anything planned afterward in the evening. However, this had pretty much changed since she'd started dating Milo - now she was always eager to leave and go find him, because even when they didn't really have anything planned together during the evening, they mostly spent dinner time together at the cafeteria, or sometimes they went out to eat somewhere nearby, and Taylor pretty much enjoyed all that she did with Milo, even when it was nothing.
Today though, it seemed that things were worse. She'd woken up in a bad mood to start with, without really knowing why - a lack of sleep mixed with a raging headache had made her moody all day, and that was something quite rare for Taylor. She knew that her friends had been a bit confused by her behavior all through the day as well as during lunch. She'd also realized that she'd forgotten to read the few chapters asked by Mr. Anderson in the novel they were currently studying, and obviously whenever you didn't do the work asked, that's the moment you get asked the questions. Taylor was never one whom professors noticed in class, and so it was very rare that she'd be called on to answer a question or another, but today had been different, and when she'd been unable to give the needed answer, she'd gotten more scolding from a professor than she'd ever had before - and coming from Mr. Anderson, it'd been enough to make her want to cry. Around lunch time her headache had gotten worse, and she'd developped a slight cough, and obviously her performance hadn't impressed Mrs. Meyer in dance.
The mere fact that she'd had Science had just made things worse without much of a reason - of course, she hadn't been able to understand a single thing and her notes weren't all that great either - then, obviously, they'd been given more homework than usual and it was all to be done for tomorrow. As she made her way to an empty table in the library, she was pretty much just wishing the day would end now so that she could run back to her dorm room and hide under her blanket, not coming out until tomorrow morning. The last thing she needed at this time of the year was to get a cold and lack concentration in class. Sighing lightly, she sat on a chair as the other students gathered around the room as well, all taking other tables - which she was glad about seeing as she wasn't really in the mood to talk to anybody - though she noticed Addie and Connor disappearing between some bookshelves after the names had been called. Rubbing her temples a bit, she took out her science book and started on her homework, figuring she might try to get it out of the way, though it was likely to get her more frustrated than anything else seeing as she didn't understand anything.
