It wasn't really often that Tyler found himself alone on a Friday night - he could actually be quite on demand when it came to hanging out, because a lot of his friends said that even though they had nothing to do, he made nothing interesting, and though he wasn't really a proud kind of guy, he still thought that was a good thing. However, tonight was different. Tonight was boring beyond belief. Taylor was out with Milo - again, though seeing as they were dating that was to be expected of course - and then even Eliana had something to do with a newbie she'd met not too long ago. Tyler didn't know what she actually thought of the girl, if she wanted to be merely friends with her or help her around like she'd done with Taylor a few years before, or if there was something more serious to it, but he was glad she had someone to hang out with. Then again, something serious would of course depend on whether the younger girl herself was a lesbian or just bisexual, and Tyler really hoped Eliana would ask her before she got herself too deep in it.
And so Tyler was pretty bummed by this lack of social life on a Friday night. Friday nights were supposed to be cool, it was the beginning of the weekend, the perfect night to hang out with friends without really caring about the time or whatever because you were free to get up at whichever time you wished to the next day. And now he found himself not doing anything and that was no fun. After a little bit of gloomy brooding in his dorm room - which was, consequently, empty, because his roommate had apparently more luck than him on the social life department - he'd decided he might as well go out and have some fun it he was to do anything at all. Besides, he could meet new people, and that was always nice, and if not, who knew, he could just bump into some old acquaintance, which was always nice as well. He'd debated for a few minutes, as he got dressed - basics, just a nice pair of jeans and a button down striped shirt - as to where he should go, but his decision hadn't really been hard to make. He hadn't been to the Hurricane in a while.
He grabbed his keys and left the room, careful to lock it behind him before he snuck out of the building - he really loved just how easy it was to sneak out and in, honestly he wondered why they even bothered to forbid it or put a curfew. Shrugging it off, he made sure he had his cell phone and wallet before he headed into the city and made his way to the Hurricane, waiting in line as usual - of course, hot girls got in easy, but guys had to wait no matter what they looked like. Eventually though, he made it in, and swiftly made his way through the crowd and sat alone at the bar, figuring he might have a drink first and maybe go dance later. He looked up at the bartender walked up to him and asked if he'd like anything, nodding slightly. "I'll just have a beer for now, thanks," he told him, taking a look around to try and spot someone he knew, but apparently if any of his friends or acquaintances planned on coming here tonight, they hadn't gotten here yet. He gave a small nod at the bartender when he came back with his beer, drinking some of it. "Thanks," he said before turning around slightly on the barstool and leaning back on the counter, watching the people around.
