Addie was strangely excited about the wedding. At first, she hadn't even been sure she really wanted to go though her aunt - who wasn't really all that much older than she was, but she was the youngest of the family - really seemed to want her to come, and she hadn't seen her cousins in a while either. On top of it, her mother had insisted on it though she wasn't going, and her grandma had called about three times in between the time she'd been asked to go and the time she'd accepted. Connor had been the deciding factor though, because she probably wouldn't have agreed to go alone. But now that she thought of it, family reunions did tend to be fun, though it'd always seemed a bit ironic and weird to her that she and her mother spent so much time with her father's family whereas he never showed up - which hadn't helped the anger Addie felt toward him. But she knew that, before marrying her father, her mother had been very close friends with one of his sisters and so one of her aunt; it was through her that her parents had met too, and she'd categorically refused to let Emily out of the family circle even after the divorce, which had helped her through it a lot, especially because it hadn't been so hard to find a place where to live after they'd left Montreal.
The trip to the hotel where the wedding would take place was a bit longer than Addie would have expected, but amybe it had to do with the fact that it was so early in the morning and she was quite tired. About halfway through the ride, she decided to give up on staying awake and moved a bit in the backseat of the cab to cuddle closer to Connor, resting her head on his shoulder and reaching to take one of his hands, smiling lightly as she closed her eyes. She found tht she always slept better whenever she was close to him, but it didn't happen near often enough for her taste. It was rare that she could spend a lot of time with him in his room, because his rooming with Andrew made it very problematic, though she was doing a good job at ignoring him and he did the same. Then, in her room there was Mandy, who obviously wouldn't be too happy with a boy sleeping in their room. She definitely couldn't wait til next year, hopefully then their roomies wouldn't be quite as uptight. It'd be great too if they could room with two people that formed a couple, maybe they could even do a switch, it wasn't as though the Academy would notice anything, and if not, well... they could just do it a few times a week, that would most definitely be nice. Because in her mind, there was no doubt that they would still be together next year.
She didn't sleep for very long, and when she woke up she groaned lightly, yearning to go back to sleep though she knew that wouldn't be a possibility until quite late now. She sighed and rubbed her eyes, stretching as she let out a soft yawn and glanced out to see they were parked in front of the hotel. Smiling a bit, she kissed Connor's cheek and got out of the cab as the driver took care of the bags they'd brought along which should be enough for the weekend though they didn't contain much, and then paid for the ride before heading inside with Connor, making her way to the counter in order to get her key, getting one for Connor as well and glancing down at her watch, smiling when she realized it was earlier than she'd expected. "We'd have a bit of time for a nap, if you want," she told Connor before two high shrieks resounded from behind her and she groaned, pouting lightly. "Well, you might," she mumbled before turning around just in time to be practically tackled to the ground by two girls. "Geez girls, get a grip over yourselves," she gasped, rolling her eyes at their giggles. "Well if you hadn't passed for dead by never giving any news too," one of the girls told her with a shake of her head. "That's why they invented phones and the internet you know," the other added, causing Addie to snort lightly. "Well you don't make much more effort," she protested but decided not to get into that conversation just now, turning to glance at Connor. "Connor, these are my cousins, Jennifer and Melanie," she told him, pointing in turn to the taller, brown haired girl and then the other one who had blond hair and, though she was shorter than her other cousin, was still taller than Addie. "Girls this is Connor, my boyfriend." The two girls giggled and Melanie raised an eyebrow. "Oooh, a boyfriend?" she asked with a grin. "Darn, that means I can't borrow him?" Jennifer added, causing Addie to glare. "Yes Jenn, that's exactly what it means."
