Addie was worried beyond words as she left her dorm room, placing her cell phone in her pocket and walking along the corridors in direction of Taylor's room. She'd planned on spending most of the evening with Connor, who she'd figured could pretty much stay in her room for most of the holiday break seeing as Mandy wasn't there anymore, but he still had his room mate - shudder - and it would just be that much easier. But it hadn't taken a long time for her plans to go out the window as she'd gotten a short, but effective, text from the Junior dancer who'd pretty much planned on having sex with her boyfriend for the first time tonight, so definitely not a text she'd expected. And as soon as she'd read it, it'd been obvious that something had gone wrong. The only thing that was written was 'didn't work. don't ask'. Like hell, don't ask. She'd told Connor she just needed to go and see what had happened, promising him to be back as soon as possible, and had left the room, pretty much expecting the worst at this point.
She hadn't been deceived. She'd knocked once on the door, but when getting no answer, she'd merely walked in without waiting to be invited, and the sight that was waiting for her was pretty much enough to make her want to cry. Taylor, no matter how sensitive and sweet she was, had never really been the kind to put her feelings forward, to let herself go in front of other people. She was emotional, but she was strong still. And now it seemed that all of her strength had left her. She was curled up in a tight ball on the bed, holding her pillow close to herself, clinging to it, and she was sobbing like she would never stop, breathless, gasping from time to time in between each sob. The girl was pretty near to hysterics, that much was clear. And before she even said anything, Addie rushed over to her side, crawling in the bed next to her and wrapping her arms around the trembling form, hugging her tightly. "Shh, it's okay, calm down," she said soothingly, a bit distressed as she'd never really had to deal with this kind of a situation. "Taylor, what happened?"
