It had been a little less than boring on campus. The stress of the end of the semester exam had almost everyone she knew on edge. In contrast to those students, Tru had all of her homework and classwork turned in, her grades ranged from As to Bs and she studied her notes from her classes long ago. So, she felt pretty much prepared for the exams in each of her courses. There wasn't a single nervous bone in her body. If she knew she was going to do well, then Tru Mercer was going to do well. School was always on of her strong points in life. She had a fascination with knowledge and practically absorbed like a sponge. It was a breeze for her. The only challenge she faced were problems dealing with numbers - Math. Although, she didn't hate it. Tru enjoyed the subject very much despite her lack of skill. She theorized the more tougher the class is, the more will she'll put into her classwork. Nothing never really brought her down. She thought very highly of herself and it showed. Even if her childhood life wasn't that great, Tru Mercer always pushed back her emotions and flaunted her confidence.
Unfortunately, she wasn't feeling so confident right now as she walked along the sidewalk. Homesickness was settling in. The holidays were always something Tru looked forward to, but unlike the last two year, she would not be going home to visit. Apparently, her mother and father wouldn't be home at all. They didn't really specify why, but Tru didn't press the matter. If it was that important than seeing her for the holidays then it must really be imporant. She was stung by the rejection when she hung up her phone, but didn't dwell on it much. Instead, she sucked it up and focused on something else. Books. She could for immersing herself in the pages of a good book. Barnes and Nobles was somewhere around here. They had hundreds and hundres of...Tru paused outside of Eros Boutique. There was loud techno music pumping inside and the pink beaded curtains of the window displays showed some rather provocative stuff. She tilted her head to the side and leaned to peer through the door. Of course, she had absolutely no business going in there. She didn't even have a boyfriend! But...she could not break away from the mystery within the store. Darn, her curious nature. It was tempting. Tru clenched her jaw, looked left and right to see if anyone was coming then ducked into the store.
"Woah." was the first word that came out her mouth when she looked around. She bashfully greeted the man behind the counter and disappeared down a aisle filled with gummy bra and panties. Her eyebrows shot up into her hair at that. "Hmm..." her feet carried her farther into the boutique.
