Homework isn't fun ((Tiffy))

Owen was still trying to find his way around the school and the surrounding areas, he knew how to get to his classes and back to his dorm but other than that, he was pretty much hopeless. He had no idea where anything was in the city and in all honesty he hadn't had any time to go and try and figure out where he'd be spending the better part of his year. He'd had a few expectations for the school from what he'd been told about it but he really hadn't expected a few things. First off he hadn't expected how much homework all the students had and how really strict the teachers were about it, that was a major difference than the homework that he'd had back at his old school. He hadn't really expected for him to be so happy with going to the school either, but he was. He was especially enjoying the theater classes that he was taking - if he could he would have spent all of his time just in theater class. Professor Allen was absolutely brilliant and he couldn't actually believe that she was their teacher honestly. He was understanding how well respected the school was more and more each day.
He sighed slightly as he walked into the library, but his reluctance changed to amazement as he looked around in awe. He hadn't been to the library before now, but the place was huge. He couldn't actually believe that they had so many bookshelves, they seemed endless. And the thought of how many books there had to be in the place was a bit mind boggling, it was insane. After all they were only high school students, how in the world could they need so many books? He was sure that he could probably walk around and find whatever book he wanted to find, but that would probably be a task in itself. Sure it was organized into sections, he could see signs for each of them already, but still then he'd have to go through all of the books, even arranged alphabetically it'd take longer than he was used to. It was a bit like being in a Barns and Noble store, only things weren't going to be for sale. He was sure that someone like his mother - who absolutely loved reading - could easily spend the better part of a day getting lost looking through all the books that were there.
He shook his head to shake the thoughts out and let himself realize the reason that he was there in the first place. Now his thoughts were back on track, to the homework assignment that he had to do. He still couldn't believe that there was so much of it, or that it'd come so fast anyway, school hadn't even been in session a month yet and they already had reports to do and essays to write and bunches of other things that weren't fun in the slightest. Back at his old school the first month was sort of spent breaking knowledge back in and getting into the swing of things. That wasn't the case at Gordon Parks' it would seem. Right now he was at the library to work on his science essay, he glanced around the huge library once more and saw the section for reference books. Great, that was exactly what he'd be needing, he set down his backpack - laptop included inside so he'd be able to type it - at a nearby table before he went over and started scanning the shelves, trying to find the book or books that he was going to need so that he'd be able to get started.
