It'd been about two or three weeks now since Andrew had broken up with Marley. He still did feel bad about it, and not altogether happy, but he knew it'd been the right thing to do. And he figured that it was normal too at his age that things just didn't always last forever. Sure, you could hope it would, but hoping didn't turn everything to reality, and with Marley it'd been a passing relationship. And a relationship he was definitely very grateful for. She was an amazing girl, and she deserved a lot of happiness, but he just couldn't give her that anymore. He also knew his feelings had been true - he really had loved her, that'd just left after a bit, maybe he hadn't been ready for it after all. Either way, being with her had changed him on many aspects, and though he was still mostly the same person, he was pretty sure he'd improved on most aspects, which was probably a good thing. Strangest of all was that he didn't really feel much of an appeal for flings anymore, knowing what something more meaningful than that could be like. Then again, it probably depended on the girl... so he wasn't pushing it completely out the window either.
He yawned a bit as he walked over to a seat at the bar after walking in Nara, waiting for the guy on the other side of the counter to come and pick his order, not really having to even glance at the menu. He hadn't really been that much of a sushi eater before - something about eating raw fish made him cringe ever so slightly - but he'd figured maybe it would be good to try new things a few weeks ago, and now this was actually one of his favorite spots. And it was pretty cheap too, yet the food was good, so it was really all the best you could get. Except maybe the not so cheerful service, but you couldn't get anything. He nodded at the guy and paid for his food as he was handed his plate of sushis along with a coke, starting on his meal as he glanced over at his watch and sighed a bit. He hadn't gotten a lot of sleep the previous night, having taken too long with his photography homework and forgotten about his science one. And now he had an history essay to finish for tomorrow, but he'd figured that if he starved to death before that it wouldn't help so he'd decided to go out and grab a quick bite. But now he figured it'd have to be quicker than he'd expected.
