Kimberly couldn't really say why she felt this nervous, all of sudden. It wasn't as though anything special was going to happen, she'd just invited Bretton over to come and watch a movie. It wasn't the first time either, they'd done that quite a few times now since they'd done that project together, and she was still a bit shocked at how comfortable she felt around him most of the time. It was strange to feel close to a guy again, and it scared her a bit to let herself even trust him, because she couldn't help but be scared he'd just hurt her like the others. But then, it wasn't as though he was interested by her, so they wouldn't even get that far. Still, she figured that if he just stopped being her friend, that would be enough of a strain on her faith in mankind, once again. She let out a small sigh and shook her head before closing off all the windows she had opened on her laptop, going through a last check in her emails and turning it off completely, unplugging it and placing it on her desk, checking around the room to see if there was anything to clean off a bit.
Well, Tiffy's side wasn't the neatest, but as a whole, it wasn't so bad. And then, Bretton had seen it much worse. Her side was clean though, aside from a couple of clothes that she'd left on the floor the night before when changing in her pyjamas - which she quickly grabbed, because shirts and pants she didn't mind so much, but bras and underwear could be just a tad awkward. She dropped the bunch of clothes she'd gathered in the hamper and headed off to the bathroom, figuring she could take the least bit of care with her appearance for once, not that it'd change a lot, but maybe at least brush her hair and teeth considering it was pretty messy right now, and it would be awkward to have him tell her she had bad breath or something. But then again, she didn't really think he'd be the kind to tell her, and she didn't actually have morning breath - or well, afternoon breath at this point, because she'd gotten up past noon, which had felt so good after spending the beginning of the year getting up at six and sometimes earlier when she had to finish some work.
As she brushed through her hair, she glanced down at her pyjamas and frowned a bit when she realized something she hadn't earlier. Bretton had pretty much always seen her in her regular, every day clothes - baggy, formless. They just really hid her body, most of the time, and that was the effect she seeked. But her pyjamas weren't anything like that. Of course, they weren't showy either, it was just the way they fit - tighter than most of her other clothes, enough to show that she actually had curves below the bagginess, and curves that most other girls didn't actually have, because they were just a bit more womanly considering what she'd gone through. She sighed a bit and shrugged it off, figuring it wasn't likely to affect Brett anyway and heading back to her room, taking out her portative DVD player along with the movie she'd just gotten. She'd started watching all of the Brat Pack movies lately, and now she'd just gotten Pretty in Pink. It wasn't the first time she'd seen it, but after Sixteen Candles, Breakfast Club and St. Elmo's Fire, it seemed to fit.
