It was completely unfair that Felicia even had to go to the stupid bookstore today. Just because she'd misplaced her copy of the book they were reading in English Ms. Mayer had totally flipped out on her and told her that she had to go buy a new one that she was going to have to turn in at the end of the unit - a.k.a. the end of the coming up week - if she didn't find the original copy before then. And plus because of that fact it had to be the same type as the one that she'd been given. What happened if she found it later? What then? She couldn't exactly take back the stupid book after they'd read it but of course she hadn't thought about anything like that. And she'd almost told her how stupid this all was, but instead she'd managed to keep quiet and smile at the English professor and nod and tell her that she would do that right away. Which didn't take away from this being stupid or a waste of her time in the slightest. She didn't see why they even had to read the stupid book anyway, it was old and despite the constant claims of having similar themes today she doubted it.
She huffed slightly as she made her way into Barnes & Nobel, pushing up the strap of her pink bag that had been falling down. She could think of a million other things that she could be doing at the moment other than being at this stupid store of that stupid book. She headed over to the section that she'd thought it'd be in and was kind of a bit frustrated when it didn't appear right away for her to see. Still, she looked around and tried to find it without too much luck. After less than five minutes of looking and not finding she walked up to the help counter which was empty of anyone, much to her annoyance. She rang the bell that was on the counter and waited to see if anyone was going to come. She didn't see anyone. Ugh. What was the point of a help counter if there was no one there to help you? She huffed slightly and turned to look around, wondering how long she was going to have to wait to get any help around here. She just wanted to get this done and over with so that she could go do something else already.
