Sam was actually pretty glad at the thought of going out for the evening with Beth. He didn't know if it could really count as a date per say, but he figured that didn't really matter anyway. Well, it kind of did in ways of knowing if he should pay for her ticket as well as his own, and since he planned on doing so, it was probably safe to say this was indeed a date, at least in his mind - maybe she didn't see it the same way, but then again she'd seemed pretty happy at the thought of his accompanying her to the movies, and he guessed that was a good enough sign. Either way, he wasn't going to let her pay for her ticket, because that just wasn't something he did - he always paid for the girls he took out, even if it wasn't an official date. And then, it wasn't as though it was so very expensive, it would probably have been worse if they'd gone out to eat or something like that. Then again, he was probably gonna get something to eat for himself, and for her too if she wanted anything, but anyway his allowance nearly always went on paying stuff for his dates.
And this date seemed especially alluring to him - there was just something pretty interesting at the idea of spending almost two hours in a dark room with an attractive girl. Not that it meant that anything would happen of course, but it was just a step up from a public space where people would see what you were doing. And then, it was a week night, which meant there probably wouldn't be that many people in the theater room, and depending on what movie they chose to see there could be even less. But even then, if she wasn't up for that, it wouldn't matter if the room they went in was completely empty. He shrugged slightly to himself as he made his way out of his dorm room, locking the door behind him and walking out of the building before going over to the other side of the school grounds, wondering if she'd be waiting for him already or if he'd have to wait for her to come and meet him. It probably depended on whether or not she'd been ready to go out when he'd suggested the movies, because some girls just took forever to get ready.
