Cassandra walked through the busy streets of New York City with only one goal in mind. She often shopped in the city but most of the time it was a bit aimlessly because she didn't have anything better to do. She was always alone but she never went at night, so it never really worried her, maybe because she just didn't care about some of the dangers that could be found in some neighborhoods - though she rarely ventured in places that might be considered very dangerous, usually keeping to the center of Manhattan. But for once she actually had something in mind as to what she needed to buy, and a particular store she was headed to. She'd gone to that store before, and though she would die before she'd admit it, it was admittingly one of her favorite stores in New York. It gave her a certain feel of a missed childhood but at the same time it was such a nice place to feel like a kid and free in that it gave her a certain look in her eyes not many people had gotten to see before, obviously because she would never allow it to be seen by anyone.
She picked up her pace a bit when she actually spotted the place, walking in direction of the gigantic toy store and restraining a small smile at the sight of the man dressed as a toy soldier standing on the outside of the door as he greeted clients inside the FAO Schwarz store. Cass could remember faint memories of coming here even as a child, with her aunt and cousin or with her nanny. She'd pick endless toys to make a list of and her parents would pick from those through the year as gifts to compensate for their absence. Her favorite section remained the doll houses and accessories section, though she usually hardly seemed the type that'd played with dolls even as a child. Today she wasn't here for herself though. Her cousin Kaycee, who was possibly the only person in her family she loved and got along with well, was pregnant, and she'd asked her to be godmother. And for maybe the first time in her life Cassandra had just wanted to go and buy endless amount of things to spoil someone else than herself. It was admittingly a good feeling, she couldn't deny that.
