Ian was a bit nervous at the thought of Evie coming to spend couple of weeks at his house before she headed off to College, but in the end he knew he would rather have his parents and sister embarrass him in front of his girlfriend than not see her when they would be so far away from one another for such long periods of time. And then, it wasn't like anybody in his family would purposedly embarrass him... he just wouldn't put it past any of them to take out baby pictures or stuff like that, and that was the thing he didn't want to see happen. He might just have to pay Ruby not to do so, too - she was a real sweetheart as she'd always been, and though she was twelve now she still looked up at him greatly, but she was smart and she knew how to get what she wanted. But really he wasn't worried about her for the most part, because he was convinced that Ruby would just love Evie, just like his father and Hannah. Then again to him it just seemed impossible for anyone not to like Evelynne, so he didn't see why or how his family could not like her.
Everything was pretty much ready for her coming over, too. Well, there hadn't really been much to prepare - she would be staying in his room with him, not only because his father thought he was old enough to decide if he was ready to share his bed with someone or not, but also because there just wasn't room anywhere else in the house. What could have been a guest bedroom had long before been turned into an office for his dad to work from home, and the other option would have been the pull out bed in the living room, and that just didn't work with him. Though, if it'd come to that, he would have slept in the living room and let Evie sleep in his room, but he didn't have a problem with his dad and step mom knowing he and his girlfriend slept in the same bed, and he wanted as much closeness with her as possible before she left. But at least his bedroom was clean, and he'd cleared a bit of space in his closet in case she didn't want to be living out of her suitcases for two weeks. Now all he had to do was wait for her bus to arrive as he stood among the crowd at the station, looking around eagerly.
