It was sad to actually see her best girl friend sad and depressed over her best guy friend, especially knowing that if she hadn’t meddled they wouldn’t be at such a crossroad. Then again, if she hadn’t meddled they’d probably be just as miserable fretting over their like for one another and pretending to hate the other – also annoying her to pieces. So what was one to do when their chick friend was feeling so down in the dumps? Jillian had thought of only one thing – SHOPPING. It had been a while since she’d had some serious girl time with just Abby. And what better way to chase the blues away than an up tempo best friend who just didn’t know how to quit? Exactly. It wasn’t terribly p[ainful anyway, it was more saddening to watch Abigail upset and angry, especially knowing that Oliver had been away somewhere where phone calls were just not allowed.
She wondered if he’d made an attempt to tell her that, he said he had, but maybe Abigail had just been too pissed off to listed. Which was totally understandable coming from a girl’s point of view. Especially because of the two of them had gotten… “closer”…during the bonfire after prom party. She’d known how closed off Abigail had been which was why she’d actually wanted the two of them together. Oliver was a free-spirit and Abby had needed that push that Jillian was failing miserably at. And it all went downhill. So now she was standing in the middle of Forever 21 picking out a new, ‘out there’ wardrobe for her best friend. “I think you should try electric blue legging under this graphic tee. And these boots are absolutely killer Abby, they’d make your legs look even more amazing.” She spoke absently as she picked up loads more. “These colors are crazy. I love this store so much.”
