Vi had woken up in a rather good mood that morning. She'd taken a quick shower and actually taken the time to blowdry and straighten her hair until every single hair was as it should be. After taking care of her hair, she'd put on a nice enough skirt that she'd bought not too long ago along with one of her favorite shirts that matched it perfectly. Then she'd spent a couple of hours working on some school assignments, figuring she might as well get it out of her way and finish it as quick as she should, that way she would be free to do whatever she wanted to do for the rest of the weekend, probably hang out with Rose but maybe see Gabe too. A small smile appeared on her lips at that thought. They'd spent a bit more time together since homecoming and it seemed to her as though everything was going pretty well. They were getting along and she enjoyed spending time with him. She didn't really know what to think of it still, but she knew she liked him well enough, and she did hope that he liked her as well. At least, she had until lunch time had arrived.
That was when she'd left her dorm and picked out the newspapers. She'd heard about the gossip column by Tyler and then some of the friends she'd made, but she hadn't thought it would be like that. She thought people made it seem worse than it really was, but obviously, there was no care from the person who wrote it as to whether it would hurt the person whom it was written about. And that she was actually in it to start with wasn't bad enough... what had been written was such a strong blow she had to control herself not to have a breakdown right then and there. After that, everything she'd done was a bit of a blur, but somehow, less than fifteen minutes later, she'd found herself standing in front of the room that lead to Gabe's dorm room, with no apparent sign of being upset or mad or anything of the sort. No, she looked peaceful enough with a light smile on her face. As if she didn't know about the whole thing. As if she hadn't actually read the newspapers yet, or at least had skipped the gossip column. Smile still in place as she knocked at the door.
