Ayla had gotten over the initial shock, though she still hadn't entirely realized the whole situation and everything. It was too much for her to comprehend so soon, but there was one thing she was well aware of. Jared had to be told. No matter how much she wanted to delay it and actually just not do it - she should have gotten Holly to tell him, not that the older girl would have agreed, but still it would have made things so much easier. At least, she'd gotten her to promise she would not tell a soul, and that included both of their parents, because if Holly told her own they would obviously tell Ayla's, and the last thing she wanted was for her mother to learn of it. She knew she'd have to tell her sooner or later, because she'd known the moment she'd learnt the might be pregnant that she'd just have to bring the baby to term. Abortion was not something she was even gonna think about doing. And well... it would be entirely too stupid to even consider keeping the baby. Adoption was the only option that presented itself to her at this point, but it still involved going through the entire pregnancy and giving birth.
The thought was painful to her, though. Not just the thought of getting through all the pain and aches and such without even getting to keep the baby, but the knowledge that her first child would be given away... that when she actually got to starting a family, her first baby would not be her first. That was definitely hard to even think of, and she had to keep herself from being completely irresponsible by convincing herself she could maybe keep the baby after all, that she would have enough money even if she ended up being alone, because she knew that in the end it would work out and having built up hopes would only make it hurt even more. That knowledge didn't help any though, and she couldn't quite help herself. She had to hope. She sighed a bit as she walked on her way to Jared's dorm room, not even bothering to make sure it was safe to sneak in the building but obviously security was as lame as ever. She walked over to the door that held the numbers that indicated it was his room, definitely hoping his roommate wouldn't be there as she knocked on the door lightly and waited for someone to answer.
