Cara was out spending the night with Joel and so Abby had found herself alone in her dorm room. She hadn't mentioned so before, but she definitely didn't feel at ease. The moment her roommate had left she'd locked the door behind her, but she still didn't feel entirely safe. There was just something that hung in the air which creeped her out. That and the letters. She hadn't really thought too much of them at first - they'd seemed innocent enough, and then they'd started out during the time while she and Oliver had been fighting so she'd thought maybe, just maybe, they were from him. But then they'd made up and the letters had kept coming - again, that didn't entirely push away the option of him being the sender. But time had passed and she'd kept getting letters... except they weren't so cute anymore. And the place she found them in wasn't that much better either. Most of them she'd first found in her locker, or on her assigned desk upon entering this or that classroom. And that'd been fine enough with her, because it was easy to see where she sat or where her locker was for anybody who looked.
But when she'd actually started getting some in her dorm room, that'd been something else entirely. There were no indications at the dorm building's entrance of who roomed in which room, and so whoever had brought it there had had to follow her somehow to see which room was hers. But that hadn't been the worse part - it was more like the time she'd actually found a letter resting on her pillow, and when she'd asked Cara if someone had left it for her, she hadn't recalled it happening, meaning someone had surely entered the room to leave it there. She'd kept it cool because she'd never been alone until now, but she knew that if she stayed here... well, she wouldn't be able to sleep even just a bit. So after debating on her options, she'd decided to head over to Oliver's room, hoping his roommate would be away too or at least wouldn't care, because she knew he was the one whom she'd feel the safest with. She'd almost ran on her way to the boy's dorm building, and even as she waited for him to answer the door once she'd made it to his room and knocked, she couldn't help but feel nervous, clutching the latest letter she'd received in her hands.
