Being away from Evie after visiting her in college had actually been harder than being away from her since summer had come. Though, both times had admittingly been pretty hard on him, but right now that wasn't exactly the point. The point was he'd missed her so badly, he wondered how it was even possible that he hadn't gone insane yet. And he knew that he would never be able to live another day of his life without her either. Well, after he graduated of course, because they still had five or six months to spend apart from one another, and as hard as he knew it was gonna be, he was ready for it, because he knew it was worth it in the end. Worth it to be able to hug the sweet, amazing, gorgeous brunette that he was lucky enough to call his girlfriend... and well, maybe more than that soon. He'd been thinking of it more and more, and though it seemed a bit soon and he still was undecided, he knew it would happen sooner or later. He just didn't know whether it would be sooner than later, and until then he was more than happy to call her his girlfriend.
He was definitely anxious as he waited at the gate in the airport, scanning the crowd to spot Evie as he held a bouquet of her favorite flowers, figuring there was a likeliness that those would get crushed or dropped once she got here - because if she didn't throw herself at him then he surely wouldn't hold himself back from greeting his girlfriend properly. He knew his family was pretty eager to see her again too - and then, he was definitely nervous about meeting hers, because of course she wanted to be home on holidays too so they'd decided to spend part of it at his place and part at hers. Especially considering the fact that he had yet to meet her mother and father, and he definitely hoped they would like him because it would pretty much suck otherwise. Especially considering he was planning on spending the rest of his life with her, he really wanted his in-laws to like him, that much was for sure. But he figured he'd worry about that when the time came. For now, he could concentrate on trying to spot her, especially once he noticed that her fight was supposed to have arrived officially, so he figured it wouldn't be much longer until she got here and he could hold her in his arms again, finally.
