So far the holidays had gone pretty great, and Tyler was happy about that. His parents had liked Holly, and Vi seemed to pretty much love her. Rose... well, she didn't really say anything, and it was a bit hard to know because a lot of times when Holly was around she was off doing something else, but when the two girls were in the same room there was a slight awkwardness to it. He couldn't help but wonder why - if anything, with Rose being so bubbly and friendly, he'd thought that she would take to Holly more than Violet would, considering the fact that their personalities clashed big time. But apparently he'd been wrong, and though he didn't really have any actual reason or proof to believe that Rose really disliked Holly, there was just something that he liked to call his big brother instincts that told him maybe there was something wrong. He'd have to have a good talk with his little sister once they got back to Kansas City - right now wasn't exactly the perfect timing, because he was hundreds of miles away from her and he didn't want to do that on the phone.
He tried to spend as much time with his sisters as he could considering that for the first time in four years they lived close by to one another the whole year long, and whenever they called to ask him to hang out he had no problems rearranging his plans. But Holly was his girlfriend, and his roommate, so yes, sometimes she tagged along, and it was during those times that Rose was nowhere to be found. That whole matter was bugging him a little but he figured nothing could be done til he talked with her, and so for now he'd enjoy his trip. He and Holly had planned this little vacation to Las Vegas for New Years a little while back, deciding it would be their main Christmas present to one another, and they'd been here three days already. Tonight was New Years' Eve, and just walking around with the blinding lights and the crowds was pretty amazing to him, holding onto Holly's hands as they did - well, it was still a big city with lots of strangers so he didn't exactly want anything bad to happen - and looking around at the buildings and hotels around them.
