Ayla really didn't know why she was feeling so nervous. After all, it wasn't the first time she was going to Jared's house, and she really loved his family, but there was the small fact that they had yet to tell his parents that they'd decided to keep the baby, and she was pretty sure tonight would probably be the time for it to happen. She almost wished they'd done it before because if they were gonna get upset, she would feel horrible about ruining their Christmas Eve, but really, she couldn't keep it to herself anymore. She'd brought along a picture of the ultrasound, though she knew it wasn't necessarily much, she figured Jared's mom would probably feel a bit happy to see it. The baby growing inside of her would, after all, be her grandchild. Even though she probably hadn't ever expected to become a grandmother so early in her life, something told Ayla that it would make her happy to know the baby wouldn't be given up for adoption, though she was also a logical woman so she'd probably be torn between being happy and worrying as to whether they were too young, like everybody else.
Holly had mostly gotten reconciled with the idea though ever since she'd been at the ultrasound with her, and that definitely made her happy too, because Holly's opinion mattered greatly to her and it would have been much harder on her if she hadn't had her cousin's support. Though, she had Jared's and that was definitely the most important to her. Her feelings for him had definitely grown during the past couple of months and she knew they were stronger than anything she'd ever felt before. Upon first meeting him she probably would never have guessed that he could be so attentionate and sweet, though he was still a bit closed up a lot of times, but she knew it was just who he was and it didn't make her... well, it didn't make her love him any less. Because she knew she loved him, though she really wasn't sure when she'd be ready to share that. Not knowing what he felt a lot of the time made it a bit scary for her to want to share something so important, because she didn't know what reaction he'd have. But for now, she wouldn't worry about that, looking around as they drove to his house, the neighborhood already looking familiar to her.
