Violet felt beyond nervous as she sat on her bed, playing with the hem of her shirt and smoothing down her skirt every ten seconds or so. She was a very, very bad liar, and sneaking around was not something she did or enjoyed doing, but they said desperate times call for desperate measures, and she just now understood the full meaning of that. It didn't make her any more happy about it, too. She hated keeping stuff from Rose, it made her extremely unhappy, and she knew Rose would be just as sad once she found out about it, probably more sad than she'd be upset at the knowledge that she was seeing Gabe again. But even though she knew how big a risk she might be taking in allowing him into her life again, she wanted to, because she liked him, and she wanted to give him a chance, give them a chance. And she knew Rose wouldn't, knew she hated him, and that she would probably do all in her power to keep him away from her and there would be hours of rambling about how he was no good and she didn't want to see her hurt again. She knew Rose's intentions would be nothing but good and caring for her. But she still couldn't deal with that, not yet, not when she was still so unsure herself.
Brooke was out for the day. Violet had made sure of that, that she wouldn't just be out for a little bit, but for the day, so that she would have time with Gabe and wouldn't have to worry about her coming back at a moment when she wouldn't be expecting her, which would be a bit troublesome. Even then she knew she would be paranoid no matter what, which would probably not help her relax while Gabe was over, but oh well. That was as good as it was gonna get she figured. She gave a small sigh as she got back to her feet for the hundreth time or so and walked over to her dresser over which a mirror hung, glancing at her reflection to make sure her hair looked fine - she'd only washed and dried it, not having bothered with straightening it because she usually prefered it curly anyway - and her clothes didn't clash with one another, figuring that in her state it wouldn't have been surprising for her to put on mismatched socks or something like that, letting out another sigh as she walked back to her bed again and plopped down onto it, playing with her promise ring lightly.
