Aidan had been pretty glad to learn that Mandy had decided to stay in Kansas City for Christmas. Last year he hadn't gotten to spend the holidays with her, because she'd gone home, but this year he'd definitely planned on trying to make it as special as he could for her. He'd decorated practically every inch of his apartment that could be decorated in a tasteful manner - because he didn't want it to look like a reindeer had thrown up all over the place either - though he'd definitely gone crazy with the mistletoe, and admittingly, not for decoration purposes. Not that he needed herbs hanging from the ceiling to kiss his girlfriend, but still, that'd give him even more of a reason to press his lips to hers during the most random moments and in the most random places. He wasn't much of a cook though, and even though he'd planned on trying to prepare something good for her, he'd figure he'd really rather not ruin her digestive system and he'd called his mom to ask if there was anything she could prepare for the two of them. Sure enough, she'd dropped by a turkey, pies and several other things which he'd probably eat leftovers of for the whole month of January.
He was putting the finishing touches to the rather small but still nice looking Christmas tree he'd gotten, having layed out the presents he'd gotten her, along with the presents his mom had brought along for her from both his parents and his sister, and at this point he was pretty much just waiting for her to get here. And as he took care of the decorations and making sure the apartment would be nice, clean and ready for the holiday, he couldn't help but think of what it would be like once they got older and actually lived together, once they actually had children to prepare all this for. He definitely would go all out for that, to keep the Christmas magic alive for his kids as long as possible, keep them believing in Santa and all that stuff. Heck he was even ready to climb on the roof and make noise to make them think there was a sleigh out there. But either way, he knew that part of his future with Mandy would be amazing, because he knew every single aspect of their future together would be just that. He couldn't imagine not being with her anymore. It just didn't work out in his mind, and he didn't want it to either.
