Cara really could not believe that this was happening- she was actually on her way to go and visit Joel at his house for a while over their long winter break. This was something that she had been looking forward to for months, really since that day over the summer that they talked about it. Now that it was here, it did not seem real to her at all. Of course Cara was beyond nervous, she could just see his family hating her -even though he told her time and time again that his family would adore her- and it breaking her heart. However, she really did not want to think about that at all. Right now all Cara wanted to think about was making sure she did not miss his exit. It was pretty much well known that Cara was not the world's best driver, and getting lost was something she was very good at. It took her an extra three hours to find her way to the Academy the first time she drove there, she took a wrong turn somewhere in Tennessee and ended up seeing more of the country than she wanted to.
Thankfully that was not the case this time, because once she saw the exit sixteen sign, she knew she would be there very soon. Something she had missed this year in North Carolina was snow- but it seemed like New Jersey got enough, and it actually kind of scared her a bit to be driving in it, not even just because of the snow but because it was now around eight o'clock at night and very dark, but then again she got here without much of a problem. From here, her GPS said that it was only about another five minutes. The traffic was pretty bad though, with it being the day after Christmas and all, however sitting in traffic was nothing to her at the moment. The only thing she cared about right now was being able to see her Joely. Glancing at her clock, Cara sighed very loudly when she saw how late it was getting. Well, this would have been a hell of a lot easier if she had just flown, but at the time Cara had insisted on driving there so that they would have a car so they could go wherever they wanted on her vacation there. Before too long, Cara found herself pulling into Joel's driveway. It was perfect timing too, because just then it started to snow. Grabbing her suitcase from out of her car, she ran to Joel's front door and lightly knocked on it. Cara shivered slightly, it was so cold outside.
