Val hurriedly turned off her laptop, grin in place on her face as she closed it and placed it on her bedside table, getting back to her feet and hurrying over to the bathroom. Every plan she made with William always put her in a state of happiness that was a bit weird in a way, but not weird enough that she cared to try and figure out what it might mean. She was just glad that she got to experience those moments with him, and well there were definitely other perks to it too - shivers coursing through her body at the mere remembrance of things that had happened the night of the dance. A light frown covered her face at the thought of other things that had happened that night, too. She wished she could have been there that night in a way, so that she could have kept Elina and Vince from doing whatever it was that they'd done exactly - she still didn't see it as kissing, none of them had really wanted to kiss one another so in her mind it didn't count. But obviously, Brooke didn't see it that way. And her little group of friendship was rather broken these days, scattered over the lunch room, avoiding each other, ignoring each other. Well, at least Brooke and Vince. How stupidly stubborn those two were.
And in a way, she felt a bit guilty for having fun when her best friends were in such deplorable moods, and she felt selfish that instead of going to try and fix things she was going outside to have fun with her boyfriend. But she knew that this was high school, and drama happens - she'd do her best so that this particular page of their story turned without leaving too much of a mark, because she knew that Brooke missed her friendship with Elina, as did the dancer obviously, and she knew that if she and Vince didn't jump each other soon they would probably both combust, and she liked her friend and brother as people, not piles of ashes. And then, even if some people would see it as selfish, she had a right to her own life. Nothing drastic would happen to change the situation in the next few hours - she could go back to trying to fix it tomorrow morning. That decision made, she quickly brushed her hair and next skipped back to her bedroom, pulling on a hoodie and then her coat to make sure she wouldn't be too cold, next slipping on her boots and last putting her scarf, hat and gloves in place before she left the room, locking the door behind her and quickly making her way out in the snow, grinning as she looked up at the sky to see tiny flakes falling on her face.
