Addie wasn't anything that could be described as nervous as she sat in her bedroom, waiting for Taylor to be done with her hair as she glanced at the clock ever so often. No, she wasn't nervous or scared or hesitant or anything like that. The only thing she felt right now was excitement, and if it hadn't been for the fact that Taylor was using a curling iron and had threatened to hurt her if she kept moving, she would probably have been bouncing on her chair. This was it - in less than two hours, she would be getting married. It was definitely weird to think about. A few years back she'd been the kind to think it creepy and weird when kids got married right out of high school, and here she was, getting married and she was only eighteen, not even a graduate yet either. She knew her mom was a bit concerned about that too, though she showed mostly happiness, but Addie had assured her that she knew what she was doing. That she wouldn't be the type to do something like this if she hadn't known for sure that Connor was the one guy she wanted to spend the rest of her life with, without a single doubt.
She'd decided to go along with the tradition of the bride and groom not seeing each other before the wedding, and not spending the previous night together either, not because she was superstitious or anything like that, but because she felt that maybe there should be a certain feeling of longing. They were always together and so it was usually pretty hard to experience that, but she'd thought that their wedding day should be a good occasion to try it out. And it was working too - it was probably a bit ridiculous, that she yearned to see him so much when it wasn't even two days that she hadn't seen him, but she still missed him. And she couldn't help but wonder how some people managed to live away from the one they loved, those who'd gone away to college, or just Elijah who'd be leaving for basic training with hardly any means of communication. She glanced up when Taylor announced that she was done, giving a smile as she glanced into the mirror, not one for pride or anything but she was pretty much liking what she was seeing. She got back to her feet, adjusting her dress slightly as she turned to glance at Taylor. "Wanna go see who's gotten here so far?" she asked.
