Technically, it had only been two and half months since Ian had seen Evie, and so far that had been about the average amount of time they'd spent apart without seeing one another - between summer and fall break, then between fall break and Christmas and now between Christmas and spring break. And it would be another two and half months or three months or so, once she left to head back to college after spring break was over, until they'd see each other again. But in spite of those amounts of time all being basically the same, it seemed that each time was worse, felt longer, dragged by more slowly. But he knew that the time of waiting would be over soon, and there was less time left to spend away from one another than they had gone through so far. In three months, they would be able to be together, actually live together, and he just couldn't wait for that moment to happen. Though obviously that depended on whether he'd be accepted to the school he'd applied to, seeing as he had yet to receive information from them, but he was hoping for the best.
He was early upon arriving to the airport, but he'd figured that waiting there would have been the same as waiting at the Academy, and at least here he could look at the screen to see if maybe her flight had gotten there early, which he knew there weren't that many chances of but he didn't care. His excitement and eagerness grew when the screen showed her flight as finally landed, moving closer to the gate through which she would be coming, knowing she still had to go and get her luggage but not really caring at this point. Heck, if he hadn't known it could get him in serious trouble and most likely ruin their week together, he would have walked past the gate and gone over to meet with her. He was definitely glad to know that they would be getting all the time alone they could wish for this week, seeing as Elijah was headed home for the whole break - it would be the first time they'd actually really be alone, seeing as his parents and hers had been around for the most part over Christmas, and during fall break they'd had to deal with her roommate. This time, it would only be them, and he was definitely happy about that.
