Drake had been pretty damn busy in the past few weeks, just like any other student of the Academy really. The end of the year was drawing closer, and so obviously there was a lot of last essays to write, exams to study for, final projects to take care of. This year had been more intense than the past two, but he was quite sure that next year would be even worse. He didn't feel overwhelmed, though, having been prepared well by all of his teachers, and he'd even found it easy to come up with the inspiration needed for the stories he'd had to write for his Creative Writing final project, which included two short stories and one semi-long that he'd been working on since a little bit after Christmas. At this point it was really more of doing a lot of editing, but still, it'd never gone this well since he'd started at the Academy, and he wasn't actually having a hard time figuring out where that inspiration came from. He'd heard a lot that some of the emotions you felt could affect your inspiration, no matter what kind of emotion it was, and now he was actually living the effects of it.
He'd been with Rose for about half a year now. It was really incredible how fast time went, and it seemed to him that only yesterday he'd started on his junior year, and soon he would be ending it, with only one year of high school left to go through. And as though he'd been single for the first two years of coming to this school, now there was no doubt that he had an incredible girlfriend, and his feelings for her had grown to be very strong in the past few months, and though he'd had a few struggles figuring out just what he felt for her exactly, now he could see it more clearly, even though he had yet to figure out how to share that information. He wished he could do it in a special way, but the only thing he could think of was just to tell her and get it off his chest. They hadn't really had much time to spend together lately though, which was rather frustrating actually, but tonight he'd managed to get all that he'd planned on doing out of the way so that he could have some real good quality time with his girlfriend. He sat on his bed as he waited for her to arrive, flipping through one of his stories to try and spot an error here or there.
