It felt strange for Andrew to be back in Kansas City after so many months of trekking across Europe, Africa and Asia. Heck, it felt strange to even be back in America. Everything was just so strange from one place to the other, there were very little resemblances between the places he'd visited and where he was now, and he couldn't really say that where he was now was the place he preferred. Of course he had friends around here and such so he figured that for that it made it better - he'd been back for a week now, which had given him some time to hang out with Elijah, Jillian and Holly, and it'd felt pretty great too. He'd even gotten to see his sister, though their relationship wasn't quite there yet as to sisterly and brotherly bonds, and it felt a bit awkward and out of place to be hanging out with her, but he was glad to see she seemed to be doing good, and it was a bit weird too, seeing how much she'd grown in the past year he'd been away. She hadn't been a child for very long, it'd been hard to be so for the two of them, but still, there was a noticeable difference between now and then.
Tonight, however, the few of his friends were busy. Holly was still taking care of Tyler, Jillian was probably off doing her lover boy and Elijah was surely doing some mushy things with his girlfriends - though his evening plans would surely resemble Jillian's before too long, he was quite sure. And so he'd decided that he might as well take the time to go out for a little bit, though he hadn't felt like dealing with the noise and crowds of The Hurricane, which had lead to his decision of picking the Beaumont Club instead. It had more of a pub atmosphere, quieter music and conversations, which made it easier on his head when he didn't feel like leaving a place with his ears buzzing and his head aching. He hadn't wasted much time in getting himself a drink, next heading to a smaller, even quieter corner of the place that held a few couches arranged in a half circle, which so happened to be unoccupied at the moment, sitting himself down on one of the extremities and leaning slightly against the back of the couch as he let his eyes roam the place, stopping on the few cute girls that caught his attention as he did so, though none of them actually seemed that interesting enough for him to get up and go talk to them.
