Mandy had spent some of the allowance money she had to take a cab to Aidan's, not even wanting to bother with walking because it would get her to his apartment much too slowly for her taste. No, there was no way that she could walk all the way to his apartment and get there in a timely enough fashion. Getting there sooner was worth the extra money that it was going to cost her, it wasn't like she needed anything this month anyway. Of course she was sure that her parents would probably not be at all pleased if they found out that she was using the money that they gave her to fund a cab ride to her boyfriend's apartment so that she'd be able to sleep with him sooner but her parents wouldn't ever know about it because she was paying with cash. Though if she remembered right they were supposed to call her tonight, oh well, she could just say that her phone was dead when they called and she'd misplaced the charger. Not a complete lie, since her phone was close to dying right now and surely would die before they called.
But as the cab pulled up to Aidan's apartment she pushed all thoughts about her family far, far out of her mind. They were definitely not the people that she wanted to be thinking about as she headed up to Aidan's apartment, getting out of the cab - having already paid the driver before they left - she made her way into the building. It took most all of her self control not to run straight to Aidan's apartment. No, instead she settled for a brisk walk instead - not wanting to look too eager to anyone who might pass her by. She didn't think that she was doing such a great job though because the few people that she did pass did look at her much like she was acting funny, but whatever it wasn't like she cared what a bunch of people she didn't know thought about her right now. There were much more important things that she could be worrying about right now and much more important things that she was worrying about. When she reached Aidan's apartment she didn't bother knocking on the door, instead just using her key and unlocking it before making her way inside.
