Kaiden knew that this day was going to come sooner or later. It had to. He really did not care that they were still so young, it had to happen. Kad knew that within only a few weeks of being with and dating Bree, he knew he wanted to ask her to marry him. Of course, Kaiden never thought that she would ever feel the same way. Actually, he could be reading her wrong, and when he did ask her, Bree might just laugh in his face. However, that would all be determined today because Kaiden was going to ask her. He did really want to go and ask her grandfather for permission, but Kad really thought that if he did, he would say no. Therefore, he had no choice but to not ask anyone and just go for it. At first he thought about asking his own father or grandfather what they thought about the matter or to just get some advice from them about how to do it or whatever, but then Kaiden realized that he did not really care about what anyone else thought, all that mattered was that he loved Bree, and wanted to make sure that she would always be his.
Going shopping for the ring was really the hardest part. How do you buy jewelry for someone who rarely wears it? Plus, Kaiden had no idea how fancy he should go or how much to spend, but in the end he got some great sales lady to help him out and reassure him that his ring choice was a good one. That was phase one, phase two was not going to be as hard- picking a place to ask Bree to be his fiancée. Only one place came into his head, the basketball courts. That was the place that he had first started to like her, so Kad thought it would be the perfect place to ask her to be his. Phase three was also not that hard, getting her to come with him there. All Kaiden had to do was tell her to meet him out at the courts at five. Thankfully, the weather was perfect that night, and it was actually a little warm out. Phase four was going to be the second hardest, asking her to marry him. But that would come later. Noticing that he was running a little late, that it was already five o'clock and he was not ready yet, Kad quickly got on his basketball clothes, put the ring, which was in a box, in his pocket, and ran out to the courts. Fifteen minutes late, not too bad for him. "Sorry I'm late, love bug." He said in the cutest voice he could muster, knowing that it had it'd never work.
