So far, the two days Addie had spent in Iowa hadn't been so bad. As much as she hated to admit it, because she still did not like the girl, that Marie chick had done some good for Milo. She hoped the other girl would stay clear for a while though, because she was in no hurry of officially meeting her, and besides, she'd come here to hang out with her best friend, not with his new buddy. She honestly did still believe that things could still get fixed between Milo and Taylor, she didn't care what Holly said - her opinion was completely biased, she'd never liked Taylor and now it was even worse - though who ever did anyway, and she didn't give much of a damn about the people who were siding entirely with the dancer. She was stuck in the middle, and she got to see both sides - and what she saw was that they were both miserably unhappy without the other. Well, Milo was doing better, coming here had done him some good in spite of the fact that she refused to give too much credit to the reason behind it, but still, she knew that if she did as much as mention Taylor's name, she'd see that flash of pain in his eyes, the pain that had been omnipresent for practically the whole time that he'd been in Kansas City with her. That was the only reason she abstained from saying anything.
But she knew there had to be something that'd make things right. They were still in love, and their break up had been based off something so stupid, so irrational that it made her want to scream. Taylor wasn't able to see that the Milo of today and the Milo of five years from now might not have the same opinions, and Milo was too damn hardheaded to tell her he'd think over it rather than stay stuck on the same ideas. After all, she highly doubted that if he'd told her that, she would have started bugging him about ring cuts and baby names, the girl just wanted a bit of security. The both of them just lacked too much self confidence, that was the problem - though it might be expected more of Taylor for all Milo always went around with that big ego of his. Still, neither of them had ever fully understood why the other wanted them around, so of course a break up, at the end of the day, had just seemed like what was bound to happen. Shaking her head slightly, she sighed as she got out of the shower, having tried to hurry since she wasn't home and she didn't want to hog the bathroom for too long. She did take the time to blowdry her hair and get dressed though, not wanting to walk from the bathroom to the guest bedroom with dripping wet hair and a towel, going back to the room to put her things in before heading downstairs, wondering if Milo was up already, and hoping he was as she made her way to the living room.
