Val felt a bit bouncy as she walked over to the hotel Will was staying at for the duration of his trip in Iowa - which sadly wouldn't be very long, but of course, it was better than nothing so who was she to complain about it? Well, actually, if she wanted to complain about it then she had more than a right to do so, but she figured that soon enough it would be August and then she'd be able to fly back to Kansas City, and he would be there too. She planned on bugging her parents to let her go back as soon as they could, because the school allowed students back about a week or so before classes started again so that everyone could get situated in their dorms with enough time. Maybe she'd plead about not having seen some of her school friends all summer, because obviously using Will as a reason wouldn't be very smart. Already she'd had to use Lissi and Maxine as decoys to sneak out and go see him, because her father had made it clear that he expected her to hang out with her boyfriend only in the presence of other people, so she'd arranged it with her cousins that she'd say she was with them. Her phone was off, and when whoever was trying to reach her called Lissi or Maxi, they'd just say her phone's battery had died and she was at the bathroom.
Of course, it wasn't like the whole time she spent with Will back at her place was always supervised in spite of her dad's instructions - but then, he had to work and her mom didn't think it necessary to keep an eye on them if they were in the basement - but she wasn't allowed to have him up in her bedroom and she was running out of spare money to pay Gemma so she'd stay out of the way. Dania and Anabel didn't need bribes at least, or at least not the same kind - every time she asked them to not bother her and Will, she promised she'd play some game with Ana or read a book with Dania when he was gone and that was usually good enough. And then, Brooke was there to keep Vince company. But still, the basement was open space, so there wasn't much but makeout that they could do down there. And there was definitely more that she was craving right now. More that she wanted to do. Will had given her a keycard to his hotel room, along with the number, so she didn't bother calling ahead, quickly making her way to the elevator though she did look around her quite a bit - she'd never been in this big a hotel, it did look pretty cool - waiting impatiently to be on the right floor and heading over to the room Will had told her he'd be in, unlocking the door with the keycard and pushing her way in. "Honey, I'm home," she called out in a teasing way.
