Things hadn't been going so great in the past months for Taylor. Of course, she'd caused it herself, but it didn't really make it any easier - she hadn't broken up with Milo because she didn't love him anymore, she'd broken up with him because... well, she wasn't even sure if she knew why anymore. It seemed so stupid thinking back on it - or at least, most of the time it did. Then there were those moments when she told herself that she'd done it for a reason, and that reason was that they didn't aspire for the same things for their future. Couples broke up because of that all the time, and it just so happened that they'd been one of them. In spite of it all, she didn't know how she would ever manage to get over him. It just didn't seem like a possibility at this point - she'd been missing him for the whole of summer, and it was really excruciating. And being here, in New York... well, it really didn't help in the slighest. Everywhere she'd been ever since the break up had brought back memories of him, even though in both cases, they'd been in those places together only one time.
She wasn't the type to be over dramatic, but in this case, she really did feel like her heart was broken, and the worst part was that she'd broken it herself. She hadn't expected Milo to change his mind, she'd known that the moment she went up to him to end things, it would actually be over. And yet, there was a part of her that had hoped, even though she realized it was silly and unfair that she should want him to change his mind when she wouldn't change hers. Still, the whole break up thing had taken its toll on her - she got up in the morning, sometimes ate breakfast, danced, sometimes ate dinner and went to sleep. She figured that now that she was in college, she'd have to add school and homework to that list, but overall it wouldn't really change that much. She sighed lightly as she finished putting her clothes in her drawers, looking around at the bland dorm room which she was lucky enough not to be sharing with anyone, at least not yet, and hopefully it'd remain that way. She was about to go and check out the campus when she received a text from Addie, telling her that she'd come over for a surprise visit and that she was waiting outside. A small smile appeared on Taylor's lips, though it was quite weak, but being around Addie and talking to the other girl was always the one thing that made her feel... well, somewhat fine. She texted back, saying she was headed down, and made her way outside, looking around for the other girl as she stood at the bottom of the stairs that lead into the building.
