Nate wasn't too sure what to expect as he walked over to the Academy, having made plans to spend the evening with Felicia - which had actually come as a bit of a surprise to him, because they hadn't really hung out a whole lot in the past weeks, aside from homecoming, which had been... well, it hadn't actually gone so well. But the moment she'd asked him to go back to her room with her, he'd been able to smell disaster in the air, but once she'd taken her dress off... well, he was only human and he so happened to have hormones and needs too, along with a very attractive girlfriend whom he hadn't done anything with in a long, long time. He'd tried make sure she really was okay for it, taking things slow and she'd seemed to be enjoying it too, kinda like he'd caught a bit of a glimpse of the old Felicia back, but the moment he'd touched her... everything had pretty much taken a turn for the worse. He'd felt pretty damn bad too, giving in to his needs rather than listening to his instincts that no, she wasn't really ready to do these kind of things yet, no matter how hard she'd tried convincing him and herself.
So tonight, he was pretty damn sure that if she made any sort of suggestion that even hinted at sex, he'd have to remind her of what had happened the last time. He didn't want to have sex with her, or do anything with her, if his touch reminded her of the bastard who'd done this to her. He didn't want to do anything if it made her feel sick and hurt and angry. He wanted to be with her only if she wanted to be with him, only if the reason she wanted to do it was that she actually craved his touch, wanted to be close to him the way he wanted to be close to her so badly. But he loved her, and he wanted her to be well again before anything more happened. Truth was, he missed her. He missed the sarcastic retorts that had been replaced by lifeless responses - when he even got as much as a response. He missed everything other people disliked about her, because those things were part of who she was, and he loved the whole of her, not just the good things. Sighing lightly, he tried not to focus on that too much as he made his way to her dorm room after having walked into the building, knocking at the door and waiting for her to open it.
