Sam had pretty much had enough of this, his annoyance probably showing as he made his way across the school's grounds towards the girls' dorm building. It was a week now since he'd talked to Beth - a week since she'd apparently started avoiding and ignoring him. It'd started out last Friday, when they'd been supposed to spend the evening together and he'd been expecting her at his apartment. She hadn't showed up. He'd tried calling her to ask if something was wrong, if she felt sick or something had happened, but all of his calls had gone to her voice mail. Which had made him feel pretty worried until he'd seen her online later on in the evening, but again, his messages had remained without any responses. And from then to now, it'd all been the same. His calls remained ignored, his text messages and instant messages unanswered, as well as any other means of communication he tried using to contact her. Now, he wasn't exactly an expert in the whole relationships department, but he was pretty sure that when you were dating someone, you were at the very least supposed to give some sign of life.
And now, he was gonna get to the bottom of it. If she wanted to ignore his calls and emails, well, she couldn't ignore him standing right in front of her, and that was just what he was gonna do, confront her to ask what was wrong. Did she want to break up? The thought of it made him feel pretty damn uneasy, but if that was the case, he'd rather she just told him rather than not talk to him anymore. That was just so... middle school. But things had just been going so well up to that Friday, they'd even talked earlier in the day to arrange when she should be coming over, and everything had been just okay then too. Same thing for every day of the week leading up to it, and then suddenly, it was like she'd disappeared off the face of the earth. But whatever the reasoning was for it, he wasn't gonna put up with it anymore. He figured he at the very least deserved to know why he was being ignored. He walked inside the girl's dorm building, heading over to her room and knocking on the door, half in his mind to just walk in but since he didn't know if her roommate was on he abstained.
