Ian had head many people describe this day as the best of their lives, but also as the most stressful and the one that'd made them the most nervous. He didn't fully agree - yes, he was quite sure that this would be the day he'd cherish the most as long as he was alive, though maybe someday it'd tie with a couple more or so, when he and Evie had children, but for now, they definitely weren't to that point yet. Also, there was a certain level of stress, because he knew how much work his gorgeous fiancee, soon to be wife, had put into getting everything planned and done in such short notice, considering some women took a year to plan their wedding, if not more, and so he wanted everything to go perfectly well, though admittingly if he was entirely honest, he didn't care for most of what would happen, as long as he was able to call Evie his wife at the end of the day. But nervousness, there was none. He felt peaceful and happy, happier than he'd ever been before in his entire life, and he just couldn't wait to walk out there and watch the girl he loved walk down the aisle toward him, anxious to see what she would look like, to vow to love her for the rest of his life, to kiss her as not his boyfriend and girlfriend or fiances, but as husband and wife.
Both the ceremony and reception were to be rather private, considering the fact that neither he or Evie were much of people person and so they only had a few close friends, along with family, that they'd wanted here. Everything was ready now, he'd made sure to check a few last details with a checklist Evie had given him - after all, she had to get ready and she couldn't just walk around with her wedding dress on, so he'd told her he'd make sure everything would go according to plan and not to worry about it. The place she'd found, too, was perfect for both the ceremony and the reception, which would make it that much easier for everybody not to have to drive from one place to the other in the snow, though it wasn't very cold outside either, no strong wind blowing as fluffy looking snowflakes fell dancing from the sky. Soon, he was pulled out from his reverie as he heard a light knock on the door and his father came in, causing him to stand up eagerly as he realized just how close he was to the moment he'd been waiting for, no words needed between him and his father as a simple glance was exchanged - both of them were more of the silent type anyway - before walking out of the room he'd been getting ready for to head over to his place, facing the small gathering of people that sat before him without really seeing them.
